It is so important that participants are given the opportunity to work with good quality materials to help them feel valued and so that the resultant artworks are sustainable and have longevity. Below is a list of suppliers that we use to buy materials, but this is by no means exhaustive.
The Children’s Scrapstore in St Werburgh’s has a shop where you can buy a wide range of art supplies including papers, paints, pens and drawing materials. There is also a large warehouse of weird and wonderful loose parts that can be used in all sorts of ways to create experiemental and beautiful artworks. Everyone from Milestones Trust is a member which means you have full access to the warehouse, as well as 10% off in the shop.
Cass Art is a comprehensively stocked art supplies shop up on Park Street. There are all sorts of good quality materials to be found at reasonable prices, and they often have a sale on where you can get some real bargains.
Hobbycraft at Cribbs Causway stock a wide range of good quality art supplies and craft materials including kits and sketchbooks. You can browse products online before travelling to the store, or there is also the option of home delivery.
And of course there is Amazon where you can get everything. Take care to check reviews to make sure you are getting good quality products first though.
